Our Story
Digital Media Vending International was founded in 2009 by David Ashforth and Raymond Tuzi, who set out to transform an outdated industry by integrating computer technology directly into vending machines.

2009, The Beginning of a Revolution: Touchscreen Vending Takes Shape
Founders David Ashforth and Raymond Tuzi launched DMVI in San Francisco, California with a clear mission: make vending machines as smart and interactive as the products they sell. The result was North America's first touchscreen wall-mounted vending machine — the starting point for everything that followed.
2013, Scaling Smart: Relocation, Expansion, and Custom Software
In 2013, we relocated from San Francisco to Sonoma County, California, opening a showroom in Santa Rosa. By 2016, we had built our own proprietary vending software in-house — giving clients a fully modular platform that can be configured for any product, brand identity, or payment system, without depending on third-party software vendors.
2020, Launching a New Benchmark: M-Series Machines Redefine Retail
After years of field-tested development, in 2020 we launched the M-Series — our most versatile modular vending platform, engineered to dispense virtually any product, automate an entire store, and significantly reduce retail theft. The M-Series is now deployed in major retail chains across the US and internationally.
2021, Scaling Up: A New Home in Sebastopol
In 2021, we relocated to a larger facility in Sebastopol, California — expanding our showroom, engineering and tech support teams, and warehouse under one roof. Clients across North America can visit our Sonoma County facility to see machines in action before committing to an order.
2023, National Spotlight: M-Series Tackles Retail Shrink
